Four years (five for medicine and architecture). Chinese-taught programs usually require HSK 4 or higher; English-taught programs require proof of English instead.
The China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) is an important part of undergraduate application planning. Universities may use CSCA results as part of admission and scholarship assessment, and the required subjects can vary by university, programme and application route.

This is where China’s funding is strongest. Most CSC, provincial and university scholarships at this level cover tuition, campus accommodation, medical insurance and a monthly living stipend.
